Material Culture is a Johannesburg based izikhothane dance collective that celebrates art, fashion and dance over superficial materialism. Intrigued by their rebellion rooted in a somewhat youthful innocence, CDLP creative director Christian Larson noted a non-conformist parallel between the philosophy of Material Culture and CDLP–and an opportunity to put Lyocell to the test through their dance.
